Baked Cheesy Rolls - Healthy Snacking

When it comes to kids, you know for sure that if you add cheese they will love it. My kid's love cheese and they even demand cheese crust pizza in their favorite outlet.

So, I was thinking of some new way to give them a snack which not only they loved, but even me and my wife could it. So I had to make it healthy. Well you say cheese and healthy? Well, not really but I baked these snacks instead of deep frying. Now that makes it healthier, doesn't it?

These are just like deep fried as they outer crust is super crispy. You will love these Baked Cheesy Rolls.

Here is the recipe for you.

Ingredients:

  1. Brown bread slices, outer crust cut off.
  2. Mozzarella cheese cut in bars as same length of the width of bread slice.
  3. Salt and Pepper.
  4. Egg.
  5. Bread crumbs

Method:
  1. Roll the bread slices thin with the rolling pin. This will get it together and make it easy to roll.
  2. Now season with salt and pepper.
  3. Keep the mozzarella cheese bar on one end and then roll it.
  4. Give it a quick egg wash with beaten egg.
  5. Coat it nicely with bread crumbs. You can get bread crumbs from market or even make them at  home.Its very easy. To know how to make bread crumbs, click on Recipe for Bread Crumbs.
  6. Repeat the process to make as many rolls that you want.
  7. Now bake them in the crust plate or grill rack in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees C for 5 minutes on each side.

Voila! Your Baked Cheese Rolls are ready. Serve them with any sauce you like, be it Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Tartar, whatever you wish.

The melted Mozarella in every bite will make you close your eyes in pleasure!!!
