Chicken Seekh Kebab

Chicken Seekh Kebab recipe or How to make chicken Seekh Kebab at home

Well, when I started cooking, I tried my hand at the cliche dishes which were loved by all and trust me Seekh Kebabs were the favourites. The ones I tried were so easy to make that I was surprised and shocked but yet they were delicious and you did not need the Barbeque or Tandoor or Oven to make them.

Now, I am sure you must be drooling over the pic here. So I won't delay and here is the recipe:

Ingredients:


  1. Chicken Mince with Fat, preferably in 80:20 ratio. This helps in tender kebabs.
  2. Chopped Onions
  3. Salt, Pepper, Garam Masala, Dhaniya powder
  4. Chopped green chillies
  5. Woodern Skewers soaked in water for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Oil

Method:

  1. First of all, mix the mince with all other spices and onions and chillies.
  2. Now we need to put the mince on skewers. For this, apply some water on your hand. Take the skewer in your left hand and start making a kebab around the skewer with mince mix. Now this is what needs practice. Do not worry if it is falling off or sticking to your hands. It will happen. After few times you do it, it will be easy cheesy!!! 
  3. Use all the mince mix to make kebabs on skewers.
  4. Now its time to cook. Heat some oil on non-stick tawa. Yes, that's all you need.
  5. On medium heat, place the skewers on tawa. Not more than 4-5.
  6. Now, it won't take much time to cook on each side. So you need to keep turning it over to make sure it's cooked on all sides.
  7. Remember to cook it till you get the golden brown color on kebabs. Its simple mathematics, No Color No Flavour.
  8. You may also test cook by cooking one kebab to start with as cooking time varies with the thickness of kebab you made and amount of fat.

Well, your easy cheesy kebabs are ready to be served. Your hubby who wants to have a drink, your kids who want to eat something new, they are gonna love it. Oh well, you will gobble up 1-2 while cooking the next batch!!
